Movie Review

Time and Place: 1969-1989 in a Town 

Gender: Adventure

Stars: 4 and half / 5

The movie is really nice and interesting. Everything starts by 2 kids playing some game, and a boy named Alan that everyone are mean to. Later on we find out that the game is called Jumanji. Alan decides to play the game with one of his friends. He rolls the dice and the game takes him to the jungle. After few years Jude and Peter move to a house with their aunt because their parents died. When they're about to go to school they hear a weird sound (like jungle) and they go upstairs. When they find the game they start to play it. After Peter rolls the dice a weird, ugly man (Alan)comes out of it. He kills the lion that he saw and looks for his parents around the house. They continue to play the game but they find out that there is one more player that needs to roll the dice. They visit Sara (the girl that played with Alan) and tell her that she needs to play with them. Then they play the game all together. When Alan rolled the dice a hunter came out and wants to kill him. They continue to play the game. I liked how they used sound and and light. Like in one scene with alligator the light is really cool and when they come close to the game the sound is really cool and weird.

I like how the hunter acted. He was really funny and always made a really weird face. He also had a really cool costume and he played in cool scenes.

Summarizer

When they woke up Edmund said that they must be in Narnia because when they were in Narnia before they were a lot of years and in the human world it was only one minute since they left. After they saw a ship they saw a guy that was inside it crying. When the took him he thought that they were ghosts. Then he told them about king and prince caspian. At the same time Prince's Caspian favorite teacher is fired from work. His King took a new teacher that was half magic but the King didn't knew. The teacher told him at night that he needs to run away because the King wants to kill him. Then he run away and fainted. After someone took him and he woke up in a weird house... He heard that someone wants to kill him from there.

What are the most important events in the section you read?

That the Prince Caspian run away the Castle because the King probably wants to kill him.

What makes them so important?

That they say that the King wanted to kill Caspian and that some of the magic people are still left.

Maybe that the King will get more mad that he run away so he will try to find him and kill him and his tutor

I changed my book because I wanted to start new book. The book that I chose is called "The Silver Chair" It is about Eustace and his friends that got to Narnia. One of them fell but then Aslan (the King of Narnia that is Lion)moved him to Narnia in a different place. His friends were still in the place and Aslan said that they could drink water but they were too scared that the lion would do something.Now these two kids have to find Eustace and Eustace someone. I don't know what happens next but I think that they will find Eustace and then maybe his sister will come to Narnia.

I read few pages and in my predictions I was right because they went to Hagrid and told him about what happened, but Hagrid already knew it. Hagrid gave them some tea and said that he never saw Dumbeldore that nervous (when harry fell). He also said that Dumbeldore got really mad at dementors and said that they are not allowed to come to the field anymore. I think that next there might be someone else attacked by dementors and some people will think that it's Harry's fault.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

When there was a game with Huffelpuff the Gryffindor lost, also while Harry and Cedric were trying to get a snitch Harry went really high and dementors attacked him and then he fell from broomstick. When dementors were attacking him he heard some women screaming and he thought that it was his mom when she was getting killed by voldemort. When he woke up at the nurse office his friends and Gryffindor team members were around him. Harry asked who won so they said that Cedric won but then their captain add "But when Cedric heard what happened to you he wanted to re do the game." After Ron and Hermione had to show his something... they showed him his broken broomstick. Harry was really upset about the situation. I think that next they might go to hagrid and thell him about what happened.

The part of book that I read was about Harry Potter and a lot of new things happened. One of them is that all of the Hogwart students were supposed to sleep in a same room because Sirius Black got into castle and he attacked a women that was in the picture and made mess in Gryffindor room. Then they had a sub for Proffessor Lupin, the sub was Professor Snape. They were also learning how to see the future from tea or other things. After they had quidditch meating and their captain said that they have to win because it's his last year. They thought that they would play with Slytherin but instead they played with Huffelpuff. I think that next they might loose against Huffelpuff and that they won't find Sirius Black.

I read that they were already in Hogwart and Dumbeldore said that there is a terrorist that runned away from Azkaban, and that there will be dementors that will keep the school save. The new teacher is really good and teaches great. They had a lesson with Hippogrif and the teacher was Hagrid. First they opened a scary books that bite and Harry thought that it was funny but Draco didn't like it.  Then the touched hippogrifs and Harry was first one to touch and come to him and make a bow. When he came Hagrid said that he can fly on him so he flew on him but he was really scared. I don't know what happened next because I still have to read it. I think that next the lessen will be over and they will go eat and at night they will go to sleep or wonder at night.

I like how the author discribed the book because I could imagine the situation in my head reallly clearly and I liked the kind of words that she used. I think that J.K. Rowling should change the thing that dementors are keeping the school save because the fact is kind of annyoing.

Now Harry found Weasleys where they buy wands and stuff like that, he also met Hermione when they were buying something. When they bought everything that they needed they went to the train to Hogwart. There wasn't left sits except few but there was so man siting so they went to sit there. When they were talking Hermione found out that the guy that sat with them and sleeping was a new teacher called Mr.Lupin. After the train paused and the lights turned off, then Neville and Ginny and they sat next to them and asked what happened. Then dementors came inside and attacked them. When they were gone Neville told story to someone and Lupin gave everyone choclate. I think that next thing will be that they will be in Hogwarts and everyone would be scared that Sirius Black would come to the Hogwart or dementors that protect school will attack someone from school.

This are all the connections. I think that the author shouldn't do that the dementors came because it makes book really weird.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban is about a boy named Harry Potter who parents were killed by Voldemort when he was small. On vacations he leaves with his uncle and aunt. He goes to Hogwart and fins out a lot of secrets. Also he changes one of his aunts to a fat women and she flies away.Then he runnes away. When he's outside a bus for wizard take him.

I think that next Harry Potter will sleep somewhere and then meet Weasleys. Also after he might go to buy things and then go to Hogwart's. Then he will go with Hermione and Ron to Hogwarts  by Hogwart express. Maybe when they will be in Hogwarts Sirius Black would be around or do something bad and everyone would talk about him. I made one connection: we both go to school but he goes to Hogwart. I think that a book is really good and intresting because when you read it you don't want to stop and it's also fun how at the beginning Ron first time used phone.

LA reading

I chosed this book because I was intrested is the book boring like the movie (i like all the hp's but i hate number 3). Also my friend told me that this is really good book. I also chosed this because I read first two books (the first one i read in Polish).

I like this genre because it talks about magic and it's really nice. Also I like Harry Potter movies so I want to see are the books or movies better. So this is why I like those kinds of genre.
